ABOUT DANA

Born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, life has since taken my family to Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and now Texas. After growing up as a brainiac and dancer, I proudly attended the University of South Alabama (affectionately known as USA), where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance with Magna Cum Laude honors. My love story started when my husband-to-be and I tied for a scholarship during our junior year. After finance and accounting careers in both government and the corporate world, in 2004, I took the leap of opening my own business with the hopes of soon raising a family from home. And I haven’t looked back. We now have two kind, intelligent and unique children. I love to stay active with swimming, biking, hiking and traveling, which helps balance out being an enthusiast of home-cooking.      

 

With a penchant for organization and a talent for being attentive to detail and thorough, it became apparent bookkeeping was a natural fit for me. I’m designated as a Certified Bookkeeper by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers as well as a Quickbooks Certified ProAdvisor. I have experience handling the financials of a wide variety of industries and professions, as well as individuals. After managing the accounts of several nonprofits for many years, I’ve become quite experienced with them in particular. In fact, it has become a passion of mine to help nonprofits with their books so that they can focus more intently on their mission.
